Happy Thanksgiving..





we had a very lovely day it was nice and mellow just us and my dad.. we had great food man it was good food... Hailey helped to make alot of it this was the first year that we really involved her out of pure necessity... she seamed to really enjoying being more into what is going on.





we spent the day cooking mostly my dad did the cooking but i helped..





then we ate alot and then we put up the Christmas tree that was alot of work but really fun none the less whats really funny is that I'm kind of OCD about the tree


- can only have white lights ( i apore colored lights they are soooo gawdy


-only blue and purple glass bulbs


-silver accents you get the idea





well this year we were just kind of putting them up there well more like throwing them up there





I'm surprised it turned out OK cause i didn't even try i had Hannah on one hip and the lights in the other and it was crazy... but it is awesome. So here is what came to me the other day a x-mas tree really needs to be appreciated from afar and that is not something that they can do so i wanted to come up with a way for them to experience it so i put them under it and look up at it and they loved it they were cooing and moving all around.





we still have to do the outside but that is OK





kylee is doing so much better now we are exercising everyday for about an hour. she can hold her head up so much better she is still a little wobbly like a bobble head but that is better than a floppy rabbit. She can stand up better and she can hold a toy she loves bells and follows them.








i took the girls to the park the other day and we had a great time. the only thing that they could really do was sing so that's what we did and they loved it.

So I finally got rid of the lice in Hailey's hair it is up to the school now... if there is a re infestation I will kill her teacher..


now that she is in school again it is just me and the girls although lately that has been more of a struggle.. they seem to have switched roles if you will Hannah is more mellow and laid back where as kylee is much more needy and attention seeking than ever before.


so the developmental people came and rated kylee as lets say just below par.. so there are exercises that i can do with her everyday for two hours ( OK honestly i said that there is no way that I can do two hours but i will commit to one) so one hour a day I have to spend with her getting her to stand on her feet, hold her head up, focus and engage with me, and smile or coo---





these are all things that she should be doing on her own right now and coincidentally Hannah scored about a 105 on everything so they said to be careful not to judge her lag as harshly just because I have Hannah to compare her to- she will do these things she just has to be pushed or i guess more like pulled... so i all ready spend alot of time during the day with Hannah and now i have to spend extra time with kylee and Hailey still needs her mommy time and the house and dinner...etc.





so where are we on the whole embryo cloning thing????





i just need to find a babysitter??? some questions that will have to be asked





1. do you charge by the hour or the kid.


2.do you have a buy one get one free special


3.what is your fastest diaper change time


4.are you bonded and insured???





so it will be a little lets say hard to find someone that will be cheap enough that we can afford them yet skilled enough that i will trust them with my kids and my house and me i guess.





anybody got any tips on this one i am in the retired old lady capital of the world some woman whose grand kids are far away and she wants to see some kids ahhh to dream





i got my tooth fixed and Monday the plan is to follow up for the caps and crowns or at least price them - we have this really great insurance--- honestly b of a is rated like 2 in the country for taking care of its employees and there dental is crap man let me tell you... i would do better off in a dental clinic at the heath department but at least we have 10% coverage it is better than nothing right -- sorry i finally saw ( most of ) sicko ( the latest Michale Moore movie all about the insurance company and that we should all move to France or at least Canada)- we are seriously thinking about it did you know that Canada has like three murders a year I mean like the whole frigging country has like three and there mostly hunting accidents man that sounds great REALLY COLD but really great.... put on a coat and live i can dig it.





i have to go crying baby- Hannah ... she only sleeps on her tummy so she can sorta rock herself so she rocks over to the side of the crib and then sticks her hand in between the bumper and the mattress and then it gets stuck she falls asleep wakes up moves it and of course pins and needles so she starts to just scream... i see it happen but can do nothing to prevent it.

OK OK so i know that i am not posting nearly as often as promised.... so sorry. I'm just really frigging busy like All the time. just in the last week...





Hailey has been home all week last week and so far all of this week due to LICE!!!! ugh while diddy was here.. will post about the visits from the in-laws as soon as I can... we had to steam clean the carpets and the bed and take everything apart and we got rid of them and then sent her back to school and she got them again from some other girl at school... Ive been trying to get tried of them again i even covered her hair in mayo TWICE...





The girls had to get there RVS booster every month then they are sick for three days with sore little legs and fever and there tummy's hurt... it sucks they are just miserable. they both just want to be held all the time.





I had to have dental surgery for a root canal ( THANK YOU ) again Gordon...


my mouth was swollen for like three days then the surgery went wrong- I'm allergic to aspirin and all other anti inflammatory which is an anti swelling drug... my mouth was so swollen it was pinching a nerve and it hurt for about another three or four days... man brush your teeth it is really important --- esp if you drink soda's...





We had a developmental lady come and "test' the girls on there development


Hannah did awesome on all of them


- cognitive- can reach her hand out, recognizes my face and voice, looks at you


-developmental- can hold head up, can turn there head easily from side to side


social- will try to make noises ( oohs and coos)





kylee did not do as well on the developmental side she scored about a 70-80%


she still can not hold her head up as well as Hannah and she still does not really engage you when you are holding her... they were worried about it--- we will have a therapist come to the house and teach me things that I can do to make her practice these skills





I'm a little worried about her but she was a preemie and it is unrealistic to expect them both to be perfect.we will do WHATEVER we have to

So it Halloween.. i love this holiday. i wanted to find a cute costume for the girls but I couldn't find one so i made one...

Hannah was salt and Kylee was pepper Hailey was a cowboy with a horse named sugar.

What ever happened to Halloween in asheville ( where I grew up ) all the kids go to the civic center and it is safe and there are fun things for parents to do as well.

There is nothing like that here and it is just not safe to take them door to door anymore

not everyone does it... and those that do can be how you say a little creepy.

Cant wait to be back in Charlotte to celebrate for real.

So we had a developmental lady from the state come by the house earlier.. she was nice.
We scheduled a evaluation for November... I'm sure they will be just fine. they both have caught up to other two month old's on the growth chart. Hailey is home today... she has lice.
it sucks i had to spend two hours yesterday treating her.. and then i have to do it again today.

Go- Go and Mer ( my in laws) are coming down this weekend I'm so excited... can't wait to show off the girls. my diddy is also coming in for the weekend. Lots of pictures to follow.love you all and miss you guys... gotta go its Hannah she is upset.

OK OK I know it has been way more than a couple days but I have been SOooo busy.

Took the girls to there two month old check-up... had to get five immunizations each a total of ten shots!!! Kylee of course took it like a champ.. Hannah actually was not to bad her face got soo red though...

We are doing well as far as size too- Hannah is at 8lbs exactly
and Kylee is 7lbs 13 oz so almost. They are both almost on the regular growth chart... in other words they are growing like little weeds.

Hailey is doing very very well she just went to her school book fair and got a book of world records.. and one on the earth.
She seems to really be into science stuff... we are going to get her sciency stuff ( ie- rock tumbler, gem book, microscope...ect) let me know if you have any idea's. I myself was never really a science girl that was George's thing.

Speaking of he is doing really really well in CA. He had to move and Love's his new place cause he can get a dog- he got a German Shepard mix named smiley.

Tony is doing well at work a little run down with driving Hailey back and forth to school almost everyday... Its still alot of work for me to get the girls and then get then in the car and back out and then back in.... and it enables him to leave at 2:30.

Neither one of us is sleeping well.. I try very hard to let him sleep since he has to work and I can always take a nap tomorrow ( ha ha )

Today for example I had to

1. Wake up, get dressed, brush teeth, shower ( if time permits )
2. start water for hot tea and start the bottles in the warmer
3.get the girls up and change Hannah first then kylee both diaper and clothes then set them up in the boppy's and yes i prop there bottles in the morning and at night- I know I'm a BADBAD mom haha
4. While they are eating I am gathering up any dirty sheets, burp cloths, sleepers or whatever from the night before-
( for some reason the last three nights in a row Kylee has managed to take her diaper off and it is kicked down at her feet..)
5. Burp Hannah and then gather up the bottles from the night before usually about eight or ten with the vitamin bottle - smaller 1 oz since we have to dose it with the vitamin-
6. Start rinsing and soaking the bottles in warm soapy water.
7. Burp kylee ( and by now they are up and want to play- so they then get to go on there belly for some tummy time)
8. While they are playing I start the laundry and the bottles
when the bottles are washed they also have to be sterilized and then they have to re dry from that before I can use them
9. By now my tea has gotten cold before I actually drank any of it so it is moved to a bigger cup and more water is added as well as more sugar
10. once the bottle and the diapers and the laundry have all been dealt with and the girls are fed and clean and in there cute outfits for the day
- i know i said that I was not going to dress them alike i lied they just look too cute not to_
So once all that is done we are off
today we had to

-Go to target to return the other stroller that we got- we opted for a really nice side by side model pictures to follow in the future- return that and get a gift card... it was a hassle cause we ordered it online - the only way you can order that item by the way- and we did not have a receipt- but we had never even opened up the box so it still had the shipping invoice on it and that worked.

- So after that I had to buy new towels and wash cloths- my diddy and go go and mer are coming for a visit this weekend

- then we had to get a tag for our outside cat Itty bitty witty kitty - so when my dad leaves if she tries to follow him she will be able to get back to us-

- then we had to go to the dentist to get a copy of a bill that we needed

- squeeze a quick lunch in with my dad - salmon with some pesto sauce yum yum

-Rush to go get Hailey from school on time

- pick her up and drive home getting gas on the way

- as soon as i got home I had to re feed and change the girls
wash the bottles from the morning, remove the ones from the sterilizer from earlier...
pour out and wash the cup that had the tea that I still was not able to drink

- get Hailey in the bath and clean the bathroom- cant put new towels, and such in a dirty bathroom-- and of course im OCD so that took over an hour and a half in itself.
sweep. mop , tub , wall ect...... all cleaned with you guessed it PIN-SOl!~!

So we have an appt at the dermatologist on Monday to discuss what to do with kylee's


strawberry birth mark ( hemangeoma) its nothing to worry about really but we may have to get it removed--- maybe a little sooner than we thought--- we don't know yet... will keep you updated. So I have decided that I am going to start my own business - I'm going to take pictures for moms that have multiples - i cant imagine taking the girls to sears for our Christmas picture are you kidding me- id rather go to the post office on Christmas eve. So the idea is that I will come to your house and take some pictures of you all and then put them on disk and then get the actual prints and bring it all to you --- lots of moms with multiples cant really leave the house for the first six weeks for the sake of the preemies- I'm thinking of calling it double exposure..





Hailey is doing really well at school she got a 100% on her spelling test. The girls are doing OK.


We switched the formula from the pre made to the powder-





yes the pre made is easier but the powder is much much more cost effective. The problem lies in that the pre made was a different consistency than they were used to... so we had some colicky babies for the last week---





NO SLEEP at all for four days UGHHGGHGHHHH





so the last time i made a bottle I added a little more powder and they are fine it was just took weak they were waking up every hour or so and wanting to eat. they have gone back to the three hour sleep





i just now got a chance to write our cable Internet and phone _ Comcast triple ply baby- was down for five days.





Dad is coming along nicely on the fixing up of the RV- it is a project.





Tony is doing really well this was his first full week back - he did leave early most days to get Hailey for me- there is a company picnic this Sunday - i want to go but Sunday is Tony's b day so he may just want to stay home and watch football and eat hot wings.

so i had an entry for the 26Th and for some reason it did not post it.





So being that it is three days later i will do the best i can to recapture it.





The girls are all better, we took them to the Dr and he said that they have both gained a pound in one week so they are eating well. Hannah will be caught up to her age range for size and development bu two and a half months Kylee by the time she is three months old.





We asked the Dr about Kylee's hemangioma- its really common and not much to worry about- he said well just that its really quite common and we will refer you to a dermatologist-- surgery is not really needed.


Of course later that night on our local news was a Dr in Tampa who specializes in them and he feels that the sooner you remove it the better so we don't really know if surgery is the tight thing or not... keep reading ill update





Hailey is doing very very well in school- she is starting to get into a good routine... she did just start school the weekend after the girls so it was a little crazy for her the first month or so..





I was by myself - tony was at work and my dad was gone running errands - for about five or six hours today.. i did awesome. I just set them up so I can feed them and change them and change there clothes all at the same time... i can be done with both girls in thirty minutes start to finish.





starting on Monday i will pretty much be here by myself from about eight till about seven or eight at night- my dad will still be here for a while but he is planning on leaving in the every near future.





i hope that you are enjoying the blog and the updates on the girls-- but even if no one is I'm enjoying it alot of this is such a blur i cant remember yesterday let alone last month, so its nice for me to get to come on line and see what happened all over again.

3. the girls on our morning walk, i have the double stroller but that thing is a pain so as long as they will both fit in this one we will be using it.

so the other day i was in the nursery... and i started to hear a funny noise coming from the back kitchen sink--- a hissssssssss noise that i had never heard before. I went to get tony to ask him about it. He said that he would be back there in a minute or two... well we did not have that long.





when i walked back into the kitchen there was WATER everywhere... the main water supply line to the back sink had ruptured ( due to dry rot and age )- it did not help that the landlord got a crappy hose in 1979 when he installed the damn sink to begin with.





So the entire nursery was flooded with in a mater ot minutes about 7-10 minutes. We had to rip up the nasty smelly wet dirty carpet. Then we had all this standing water that would ofcourse create mold... and that is not good for preemies. So we had to sweep the water out into the patio.





the landlord got us nice new carpt for the nursery... if i had known that would be all it took i would have flooded the room long ago hahaha





all is well with us helen just left this morning and it is just us from now on aahhhhhhhhh- just kidding we will be fine we have a great system going on and as long as we stick to the plan we will be fine..
